To develop the national Accreditation system to match international standard, contributing in the development of national economy by enhancing quality of products/services and profit of trading through improvement of Conformity assessment bodies’ potential.

Definition of “Accreditation”

Third-party attestation related to a conformity assessment body conveying formal demonstration of its competence to carry out specific conformity assessment tasks.


Mongolian Accreditation System (MNAS) is an open system that has accreditation legal grounds, management, structure and regulations.

-     To protect applicants’ confidential materials

ILAC – Member of International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (2007)

ILAC MRA – Signatory of Mutual Recognition Arrangement of International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (2012.06.07)

APLAC – Full member of Asia Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (2003)

Accreditation Scope

Regardless of affiliation type these Conformity Assessment Bodies can be accredited:

Laboratories: testing, calibration, measurement instruments verification, medical, proficiency testing provider

Certification Bodies: product, management system, personnel, greenhouse gas validation provider

Inspection Bodies: All types


Clause 13.3 of “Mongolian Law on Standardization, Conformity assessment”:

“…Central organization of Standardization shall implement nationwide Accreditation.”
